I agree that we aren't living in 1984. We aren't even close and people who think we are need to talk with someone from behind the Iron Curtain. My friend who grew up over there can always put it in perspective for me.

Fact is that I can still go downtown and protest in front of the federal building if I want to.

Thats not to say we shouldn't oppose this spying, but calling it 1984 is blowing it way out of proportion.
