Before transferring my photos from ScrapBook to PhotoAlbum, I'd like to ask about two features from ScrapBook that I really miss in PhotoAlbum. 1) Are there any plans to let us re-arrange photos in a gallery after they've been uploaded? And will we be able to re-arrange galleries as well? 2) Will it be possible to have galleries contained within galleries (sub-galleries)?
Bummer. Then I'd really like to be able to re-arrange galleries, as I know I've got several sub-galleries that were created in wildly different chronological order to the way I'd like them displayed.
That is unfortunate, as the sorting/cleaning up mechanism of the old Scrapbook was much better. I thought you were still working on that, as I imagined the new Scrapbook would have improved sorting features.
Even within the galleries all the images are now completely mixed up, there seems to be no system at all, and the user cannot sort them in any way either... :(
Could you at least change the displayed amount of galleries from 12 to 24 per page, please?
Hi, regarding #2... does this mean that all pictures in subgalleries will be dumped in the "uppermost" parent gallery once the migration occurs?
If so, this is seriously a pain in the neck. Despite its problems one of the great things about (old) Scrapbook was the high level of organization/customization it allowed. That's one of the reasons I stuck with LJ for photo hosting/organizing rather than another service.
I was looking forward to the new scrapbook, honestly, but if it's virtually impossible for me to locate photos? maybe not.
Yeah this pretty much ruined my entire sorting system. I now have about 25 'albums' labeled 'January' and so forth and have no clue from what year they are.
Even if you can't bring back the old data about nested galleries, at least think about making that option available to us again.
