Erotic and beautiful and how Neal loves, all at once is what I might say about this fic, except that that would be stealing a line from the fic to comment on the fic - kind of meta, maybe, but also kind of cheap? So.

The past and present tenses in the first third occasionally threw me a little, but by the time the fic switched to present tense full time, I was having a great time reading. It really is a treat (and a privilege) to watch Neal paint, but I also loved the effect it had on Peter, especially.

Perfect last line.

I was quite consciously echoing the fic with that line, so I'm not surprised in the least. It's my summary, too. :D

Ah, I like to throw little flashbacks in - technically I think it's right the way I used all the tenses; sorry if it was confusing. I would fall over happy if we saw Neal painting something of his own design in an episode sometime... <3

Isn't it? (Me too - though actually, I'd written this before I'd actually read any other body-painting fic. I only found the other ones after I sent this to my beta... /laughs/)

AND I just found out Long Night's Journey into Day has sequels. Multiple sequels. I was not aware of this and will hereby likely not be getting any work done tonight.
