what to do? Go with the flow? Remember our bodies want us to hibernate at this time, and let that be okay? Just remember, in the winter, far beneath the frozen snows, lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose? Get a happy mood UVA light?

I just picked up Fried: Why you burn out and how to revive by Joan Borysenko. Mostly because I have 3 friends in that state, and I have some of it. Like you said, life being overwhelming. And we're tired of swimming toward a shore that never gets closer.

Thanks. I'm just stymied sometimes. ;)

So are we all. Especially this time of year, we tend to turn inward and get sluggish in body/spirit/mind.

"Hugs" I hope the parts of your life that are overwhelming settle soon.

The Tiny Stories book looks fabulous. Thanks for posting about it.

One thing that has helped me enormously when I get overwhelmed with things is to go into the opposite direction that I usually do and actually embrace the chaos or whatever feels overwhelming. It sounds counter-intuitive, but sometimes getting really curious about what is going on and looking at the way we respond to life can help crack open our motion to block it out. I know it's not easy, but sometimes hiding away is actually harder because it leaves us in a state of confusion and vague unhappiness.

All the best to you--sending over a hug.

Thanks. I know hiding or ignoring problems won't make them go away (and often make them worse), but I truly have no idea what to do sometimes. There's just no manual.
