I came back from lunch to the news that a coworker's husband had died. How horrible! I feel just awful for her. He just turned 40 (and her birthday is later this week); he was in Germany (where they're from) on business, and had an aneurysm. His father was there with him, so at least she doesn't have to fly there immediately to take care of things

it does prove that you can never ever know - presumably he'd been in danger of having one for some time, but wouldn't ever have known.

My husband and I wonder whether cycling on the roads or hillwalking or whatever is dangerous, then we hear things like that and we think, 'Well, I could just keel over anyway!' and suddenly it makes all these minor risks worth taking.
