Another New England state (Vermont) has passed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage. Not civil unions, but marriage. Hurray for knocking down more barriers to equality!

Ah, I gathered from the message from Mass Equality that it had passed. I guess I was so excited that I didn't read it all the way through!

This isn't the only New England state working on it, either. Maine and New Hampshire are also examining bills legalizing same-sex marriage. Vermont and New Hampshire both have governors that are on record as opposing their legislation, however. Fingers crossed as things go forward.
