It started out being One Of Those Days this morning, but I refuse to let it stay that way. The first customer in the door treated me like I was totally incompetent, which really pisses me off. He said his ad has been messed up twice before, and kept questioning every little thing (like: Are there going to be commas in there? Yes, I'm a writer, I ( Read more... )

Meanwhile (back at the ranch), we got into a discussion about those @#$% emails that people forward because it says it's bad luck if you don't,

people who send those to me are warned ONCE. twice, and they're cut off.

i admit, i react badly to them. i KNOW they can't hurt me. but i also know that had my parents ever seen such things, they would have needed to pass them on. and for them i react badly.

also, i was very superstitious when i was younger. magical thinking - if i do this, then this will happen. so these letters trigger that. i still have this problem, but i now have ways of dealing with it so it doesn't drag me down. when i get into 'if i do this 'THIS' will happen' - i usually immediately change 'THIS' to "world peace". 'cause that ain't ever happening. :)

insights into the brain of leenah. lucky you!

Actually, i skim over them and ignore them. I think, for me, it'd be rude to tell ppl not to send them, plus of course if *they* believe in them, then by being on the list i fulfil their quota of people to send to.
I don't do anything with them, bar delete them, but i don't have a porblem with being sent them.

Did you know that the theme from Star Trek has lyrics?

Hah, sad chappie that I am ... i actually have it somewhere on mp3, being sung by, I believe, either William Shatner or Leonard Nimoy. I have a couple of songs by both. My conclusion:- Stick to acting, lads :p
