Living different places over the years I've had to re-learn what to call certain items so people would understand me.

I grew up calling rubber bands, gum bands. When I moved up here, I had no idea what the hell elastics were and my co-workers had no idea what gum bands were.

Okay -- what are alternate names for swim trunks and rain gutters?
