I am officially going to Texas Tech

Well. I didn't get into UT. From what I hear, basically no one who wasn't in the top ten percent got in. I got into the CAP program, so my mom and I went to San Antonio today to look at UTSA in case I wanted to transfer from there to UT-Austin my sophmore year, but you know what? It's just not worth it. I want my freshman year to be fun and new.

UTSA isn't really all that bad. I am from NY and I moved down to San Antonio 3 years ago and I think it's fun...Well not as fun as NY. And Not even close to Austin or UT though...ahh who am I kidding I would actually rather go to Texas Tech myself! I have wanted too but I am the kind of person who hears "Lubbock" and moans.

so, I found this in google somehow accidentally. I don't even know you, but you should know I'm a freshman at UT San Antonio this year doing the cap program. it is WELL worth it. lubbock is stinky, and theres actually a lot more going on here than youd imagine. tech is very close to losing accreditation as a university and may drop to 'college' status before you graduate- making your degree much less valuable, and, honestly, i doubt youd get into UT graduate school from tech unless you make some STELLAR grades. UTSA is easy. Anyway, food for thought.
