I totally agree about love defeating Voldemort which is why Harry's Spiderman-esque walk away from Ginny won't last.

And I'm pretty sure that Hermione and Ron are together now. There just wasn't any kissing. But I'm sure there will be kissing at the wedding. Weddings are romantic.

And yes, fucking Percy- though I did love that scene with Scrimgoeur and Harry- Dumbledore's man through and through. Makes me tear up thinking about it.

I wonder if Draco will reform. I think he will when it comes to it. I think seeing death first hand (which he never had before) will do it to him.

Tee-hee, Spiderman-esque walk! Agreed, Ginny's not going to stop loving him; no teary pleas, no stalking, I think she'll just keep right on taking care of him.

And I envisioned Ron and Hermione stealing kisses and generally behaving like lovers. Even if it's secret.

Argh! So many good moments in this book!

Liiiiizzzz! I'm supposed to be studying because I have a test tomorrow that is going to be very hard and I haven't studied at all but I don't wanna.

::pouts:: I want to stay online and talk all about Harry Potter.

Tell me, do you think they grieved for Sirius appropriately> I kind of chalked Harry's avoidance of it up to him being 16 and male. But Lupin, when it turns out he's really just pining for Tonks? Do you think Lupin grieved enough? ::sigh::

That's a complaint I have. Not enough Lupin.

okay so my first observation- there was no harry fighting Voldermort. There was alot more of him in this book because we learned so much about his past, and harry and the othrs fight the death eaters but NOT Voldermort- this is the first of the book that this is the case. Is he becoming too scared to do his own work now... sending a boy- Malfoy of all people to do an important job like killing the greatest (or second greatest in his eyes) wizard of all time ( ... )

Gwarp-- man, as if it wasn't painful enough to read Dumbledore's funeral, then you have Gwarp enveloping Hagrid in a giant (pun intended) hug. Aw! hee hee, and I loved it when he gave Hagrid a pat on the head, and his chair sank in the ground. Rowlings laugh/cry instincts were spot on in this book.

I know what to say about Percy: Fuck Percy!

And...yeah, there wasn't a lot of "battle" in this book, it was more character driven then mission driven. PoA didn't have a Harry/Voldemort showdown either.

I read (well skimmed) a theory that Snape was appointed DADA prof because of some master plan. Since the job is cursed, Dumbledore would know Snape could only be there for one year more... so was Snape supposed to do something after this year? I do agree with the buzz that Snape is not evil...

So many discussions. I'm going to start another entry.
