Thank you! I thought I could limp the car into work and deal with fixing it later (mostly because I had to work at 7am!). And it happened again *twice* on the way. So instead, I was late to work and took the car in to the dealership even though it's out of warranty, simply because it was the closest place around.

It was low on brake fluid - something they'd flushed and refilled just a few months ago. So they fixed it - at no charge!

*squeeees wildly*

I feel like the black mark of doom that was over my head has moved on. Thank God. :)

Damn! I'm just going to call 07 "Misery Year" ... or maybe it's just January 07 is "Misery Month" ... That's what I'm going to hope for, anyway.

My poor car. Low on brake fluid. I had to limp it into the dealership the next morning, I was late to work, I was sad and my car was sad and everything seemed so bad. And then - just low on brake fluid! They'd done the last fix-up, (with a brake fluid flush and refill) and they warranty their work for 12 months, so they refilled at no charge.

And they washed my car! And they vaccummed him!

He and I both now feel shiny and sparkly. So, maybe that's a sign that 2007 is getting better? Maybe all our bad stuff happened right away, and now we're in for 11.5 months of good. So brace up, m'dear. You've got a *ton* of good heading your way.
