Drabble A Day - Diamond

The earrings were Wayne’s idea, and Oscar was quick to agree. They made several less-than-glittering failures before finally creating the perfect artificial diamond.

It was good that they started planning these things months in advance.

Creating a diamond in their lab was the easy part though. Actually fashioning a design Spoonette would like took ( Read more... )

Oh wow, this is a perfect example of how these two would try to be sweet while being extremely creepy at the same time. It is cute how they each made a different earring, and fitting, since they both love Spoonette, and I'm glad she'll wear them, even if she lies about where they came from.

I bet Linksano thinks about all the things he and Wayne did for Spoonette when he's feeling homesick. Poor guy.

In my head Oscar and Wayne would try to make as many of their gifts somehow be a 50/50 split of effort.

Spoonette is not gonna turn down diamonds. She'll lie, but she'd definitely take them.

And yeah, had to throw in the creepy factor. They are obsessed after all. They probably had a secret shrine hidden in their room somewhere where they keep their uh, "treasures".

Yeah, that head canon sounds about right. They both love her, so I can see them trying to make sure they shower her with gifts in equal amounts.

Haha, oh yes, I can see that too. Did you ever watch this cartoon called 'Hey Arnold'? One of the characters had a closet shrine devoted to the boy she loved and kept all these weird obsessive things in there. Now I'm just picturing Oscar doing all the things she did, lol.

Yes I used to watch Hey Arnold! You're talking about Helga and her really weird mini voodoo statue made up of Arnold's used chewing gum *ick*

I think the Schlumper's version of that would be more....hygienic. But still extremely creepy. Like little bottles of her nail clipping, hair taken from her hairbrush, etc, and everything would be dated and labeled of course. Papers of stalker notes and schedules and charts. Not gonna lie, as cute as they are, they had issues waaaaaaaay before they ever tacked 'sano' to their names.
