I've read 18 in full and 5 more in part. I suck at the classics! (Got War & Peace out from the library once - does that count as starting it even though I didn't actually get beyond the title page?)

That list is a little screwy. Why are The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe both on there? The same could be asked of The Complete Works of Shakespeare and Hamlet...

I have Watership Down and The Adventures of sherlock Holmes somewhere if you ever want to up your numbers!

It isn't quite as horrific as the film (probably the lack of Bright Eyes, aka the most traumatic song ever, helps). It's one of those tricksy animal books I was tempted into reading as a child (see also White Fang, Call of the Wild and many, many more) that make me cry but I still love them!

I've read 8 or 9, but I'm not British so maybe I don't count anyway! And most of the ones I've read, you haven't read. I think they're more American-ish. There are a bunch on that list that I want to read! Some I even own but haven't read yet.

Of course you count! But yes, I imagine books like Swallows and Amazons might not have made it to the US, really.
