So I realize now that the freaky "it's almost winter" weather is actually Tropical Storm Ophelia chillin' right off Florida's shore. I'd heard about a tropical storm yesterday, but figured it was down south and it was just causing weird weather up our way

When do they expect to be able to use their campus again? As a senior, I know I'd be sad if I had to finish out somewhere else and it wasn't by choice.

They're hoping to be able to return in the Spring, but I guess only time will tell.

In one of my classes we were discussing the situation around here per letting Katrina refugee students into UF. Basically they're going to do it only where they have room already - not lower division English, some upper English, there's some room in Law School and I forget what else. Apparently Ocala isn't going to let them into the public schools there though. Not because they don't have room but just because they just don't want to. Silly.

Any tips on McKeen as a teacher? We have a test in two weeks and I've been trying to take good notes but I haven't had a chance to start on the reading. I've been busy reading 3 other books at the same time. Being an English major used to have more slacking involved....

Study every single word of your notes. His tests are super intricate and detailed.

And you definitely need to do the reading... at least 5 of the 30 or so test questions are from the reading, and they aren't easy to guess.
