Been around the block and back

Finally watched Last Of The Time Lords.

OMGWHAT?

HA HA HAAAAA!

...and that's it. I'm still speechless, apart from making loud strangled noises that might be laughter, or whoops of mingled WTF and sheer joy.

I did, however, find a review on doctorwho that summed up my reaction to the episode pretty much exactly, and a tad more articulately.

OMG OMG

last of the time lords, fangirling, doctor who

Was a good ep, but Blink must have been the best ep of the season.. mostly because of Carey Mulligan.. ;)

I KNOW OMGWTF??!!! You should have heard the noise I made when that happened.

...actually, I think you have heard it. Just not in connection with anything on TV.

I saw the last half of it on youtube. I could have watched all of it on youtube but didn't. I didn't feel like waiting 9+ hours to watch it at alloftv. I liked it.

Did you also think Martha's cookie dough speech came fairly close to crossing the line between homage and ripping off?

And I don't want Jack to be Bo, I want him to be pretty forever.

Es.

BOE! Stop spelling it wrong. ALL of you!

I'll have to watch it again. I didn't even register the cookie dough speech, though now that you mention it I do recall it.

I was too busy watching Jack being utterly fucking marvellous.

No. Once I'd scooped my jaw back up off the floor (which took about 12 hours) I decided love the Face Of Boe thing. It's so perfect in such an utterly cracked-out way. I love it.

You might want to wander over to the Trek macros community darling, not only is there some generally hilarious Trek stuff but someone did a full episode of Voyager featuring Julian as macros, and there's also a Bashir/Dr Who crossover macro :)

I didn't even know there WAS a Trek macros comm. I've been too busy gurgling over ihasatardis. I'll check it out later. Right now I have to go and watch The End Of The World, New Earth and Gridlock over again.

Hm.
I just visited there, but I fail at Dr Who, especially the new ones, so I didn't get most of it :-(

I KNOW! It's just so oddly perfect.

And I went back and watched Gridlock and I cried like a little girlie. *snif*

Gridlock DEFINITELY made more sense all of a sudden. One episode the Head was "dying" (except that he wasn't), and the next he has fed an entire city with life for who knows how long.

... I was going to say that he finally ran out of juice, but since it was Jack, that feels all kinds of wrong. XP

*snrk* True.

A bunch of people on the Who comms are wittering along the lines of "oh noes how dreadful for someone so sexual to be a head in a jar." But I want you to think about telepathy a moment, and how the very best sex happens in the brain. I am dizzied by the possibilities.
