Just heard the first ice-cream van of the year!

Spring has started - it's official.

Also, Weed-Smoking Neighbour has given up on giving up weed and gave me a bit. Nice! :-D

suburbia, weed, weather

I'm in two minds about spring, but yay weed!

He gave it up because he was doing WAY too much - he's going to see if he can keep it in moderation now. He described the bit he gave me as "enough for a couple of joints", but with my low tolerance and never touching it till after 8pm, I can probably make it last a week.

Well, you should let him know that you're available whenever he might need help in moderating his intake. :)

I did. What we're going to do is whenever he buys some I'm going to buy a little of it off him - perfect, because normally you can't easily buy the very small quantities I'd rather have.

I can't wait for spring to start here. That means it get's warmer, and baseball season starts.

Great news, on all counts, I think. ;)

Yes and no, for me... I do like having more daylight. Winter can start to feel like living in a box when it gets dark at 4pm, and it's not like we have any fun winter weather like snow here - the rain just gets colder. And it's always good ti see spring flowers coming up and everything turning green. But I do hate the warm weather; I'm a winter person.

One of these years I'm going to move to North Wales, or the Scottish Highlands. Or even the Falkland Islands.

We don't need an ice cream van. Stick the bloody ice cream in the fucking snow and it'll do just fine. Especially since it's down to - 15 every bloody night right now. *grumbles*

Enough with the Siberia I tell you!

But I had a nice walk in the sun with Anders today.

*happy faces*

Hi,

I just saw the greenmood post about surgery and wanted to say something to her. If you are a good friend of Jenna's could you please kindly relay this message to her before her operation...I am assuming that only her friends can reach her at this point in time (and duddywuddy has comments blocked)...Thank you so much!

---message below---

Since Jenna may not waste time on the Internet given what she has to deal with tomorrow, if any of her friends out there see this, could you please tell her these things?

Make sure she informs the anesthesiologist IF she has been consuming herbal supplements, even if in small quantities as in Arizona herbal bottled teas, etc.

Many herbal supplements (ginseng, ephedra, ginkgo, Saint Johns Wort, etc) interact with drugs used in the performance of surgery, or can alter physiological parameters leading to erratic conditions, like blood pressure and clotting. So please, err on the side of caution....ask her to inform the surgery team IF this pertains to her! Thanks.

I've always liked her, but we were never close enough friends that I can contact her any way except the Internet.

This is odd but seems well meaning.
