you could pull off red. just go to mac (or sephora even if you feel better there) and they have tons of different reds. some with yellow undertones some with blue etc. you just have to find what undertones don't clash with your skin. they have a ton of colors so i'm positive you could find an awesome bright color for summer. you could even start with a finish that has buildable color so you can wear it a little lighter at first until you feel comfortable and after awhile fully rock it. :)
