WELL HELLO THERE!

Aug 01, 2016 21:17

Did you miss me? I missed me! I missed you, too! It's hard to believe that it's been a month away and now we're back. It was full on summer in the States but back home in Sweden, I feel we've landed in the early onset of autumn and I have to say I am SO GLAD. I never do well in heat and humidity and we had enough of it this past month to last me a ( Read more... )

Looks like an amazing trip. You weren't all that far from me in week one!

They both had black Fjällraven backpacks, the exact same model, in the same overhead bin on the plane, apparently. What are the odds??

My lists make me exhausted, too. As did this vacation! haha!

Miss you? Remind me, who are you again? Ha, ha! Seriously, I've been counting the days - welcome home! ♥♥

It sounds as though you had a whirlwind but deeply satisfying and fulfilling time with fasmily and friends. I'm sure you are going to need a vacation from that vacation to recover. The trouble is that it always seems to me that once August hits, the rest of the year seems to evaporate and before we know it the dreaded "C" word will be upon us!

I did laugh at "The best way to stay together is to take time apart" - ain't that the truth, baby? We always make sure to have our own space when on prolonged visits, as we'd be at each other's throats if we spend 24/7 with the family - no matter how much you love them ( ... )

I DO need a vacation from my vacation! What an excellent idea. I wonder if my boss will agree...

That list sounds exhausting. One day in NY and you fitted in all those things? I spent a day there last year & managed about 3 of them: slacker! All my grandparents were born in the 19-teens, and the last of them left us just a few years ago. What a special life your Gran (Lizardgran - like it!) must have led! Superb holiday!

Well, to be fair, we split up a couple of times. So I did not personally go to Chinatown, shopping or the Freedom Tower :) And my kids did not go to Central Park. And we didn't spend a lot of time anywhere except at the Statue of Liberty tour including the boat. It was an exhausting day! 17 hours of epic sightseeing.

I have been checking every morning to see if you were back! I have missed you!

This trip sounds amazing! How wonderful! I panicked when you told about the passports! That is my nightmare. I hope you get some rest and then you can tell us stories about special moments of this momentous trip.

And it is supposed to be 90 degrees F. today...and the air is thick enough to cut. Ugh.

How can you stand the temperatures? And you're in the north! UGH. I talked to my mom yesterday and she said it was still pretty miserably hot & humid. Double UGH!
