It sounds as though you had a whirlwind but deeply satisfying and fulfilling time with fasmily and friends. I'm sure you are going to need a vacation from that vacation to recover. The trouble is that it always seems to me that once August hits, the rest of the year seems to evaporate and before we know it the dreaded "C" word will be upon us!
I did laugh at "The best way to stay together is to take time apart" - ain't that the truth, baby? We always make sure to have our own space when on prolonged visits, as we'd be at each other's throats if we spend 24/7 with the family - no matter how much you love them ( ... )

This trip sounds amazing! How wonderful! I panicked when you told about the passports! That is my nightmare. I hope you get some rest and then you can tell us stories about special moments of this momentous trip.
And it is supposed to be 90 degrees F. today...and the air is thick enough to cut. Ugh.
