yeah, Lost isn't necessary at all - I'm only borrowing a concept, but better to be safe and not spoil anyone who's still holding out against spoilers, I figured.

I love how we constantly end up with AUs for these two.

We do AUs because we want MORE HAPPIER BETTER RAINBOWS AND PUPPIES EVER AFTER, rather than doom and comas and tears... Or, different doom, at least. ;)

I thought it was a powerful concept for a type of purgatory, to not just atone for your sins, but be able to take different paths and see what could've been. And those two would have a whole wad of things they'd have to wonder about in a do-over, including the 'kids'.
