Oh, god. Oh, Sam. And the worst thing about this is that... Cavil could have done this to him (to any of them) anytime he had the opportunity to do so.
I love love LOVE that Tory designed the centurions, and that she made them tall. And all the bits and pieces of remembering what happened (Sam, you couldn't know that sentience would spread like a wildfire).
And I love and hate the Leoben stuff (for some reason, it doesn't bug me to see the idea that Sam was indirectly responsible--especially since it's Cavil pushing it over the edge)
sigh.
I need fluff now.

I have this whole fanon for what each of the Five's specialities were, and Tory's was the physical design of the Eight and the modern Centurions. And of course, she'd make them super tall since she's teeny.
And yeah, hard to think that Sam shares something of the fault for what Leoben did to Kara, isn't it? He was, except that he was also such a victim, I can't blame him for it.
Thanks! *looks for fluff bunny, finds bones under the bed*

The Final Five comic makes it look very likely that the Sixes were designed in Angel Six's image.
The Plan, why must you be so far away?

Yeah, I know about the comic book. Though one of the covers makes it look like she came to Tigh, so that's why I left the door for Sam's to look like D'Anna, since I don't know if they all saw different faces or the same one. (not that I think the comics are canon, anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me)

I can't get over the fact that Jean never did find out.
Oh, and let's not forget a certain other person who wouldn't take it at all well.
"Who are the others?"
"You, Ellen, Galen, and Tory."
FWAP!
"Tell me who they are, you lying piece of Cylon garbage!"

Seriously, it is amazing how neatly that fits into canon. Although there are little points here and there where my personal canon differs, this story can still slide right in there.
I really wish we'd gotten to know Scientist Sam a little more, because that twist would be fascinating.

GAH. I can't function right now. I wish I could offer a grand in-depth analysis... all I can say is that this story, in my mind, overrides canon. Geez, I have such a new perspective on the Final Five now.

It's so sad, isn't it, to think of Big Damn Hero Sam as John's tool the whole time. Realizing that Sam's basically incomplete the whole time turns New Cap into something even more horrible, and I didn't think that was possible...
