The library's impressive, but it's a monument to an obscenely rich person. I much prefer the basement. Wow, such simple lines, and so very, very cool.

Of the two I prefer the basement, too - but I'd love to visit the library.

I love the library-- it's nice that he sometimes lets schoolkids in to see the things-- in a museum no-one can get close to stuff.

I thought that was SO COOL. If I was ridiculously rich and could build the library of my dreams (though not as opulent as that one) I'd let people visit and peruse everything.

The library of my dreams would be round and have several stories, and along with stairs, I'd have ladders on wheels that hooked into circular bars so you didn't have to be 6 ft tall to get at the higher shelves.

And the ceiling would be a giant screen, and the floor in the middle would be like really, really nice futons, so you could lay there and watch movies surrounded by books until you fell asleep.

...dude. I like that idea!

Mine would be a two story affair, I think, wide and sprawling with a make of bookshelves, and little alcoves here and there you could curl up in. One wall would be entirely made of picture windows, and if I could manage it, a skytight. There would be comfy chairs, sturdy stepstools so you could reach the top shelves, and little endtables with pretty shineies or chesstables in them.

Several cats would patrol it.

...the movie theatre would be a separate room entirely, but also involve lots of comfy cusions. ^_^

Ha! Cute icon, awesome links!

Wow, one of the Enigma machines that lead people like granddad to work on cracking them. Damn.
(No idea if it was his team that did, but I think he'd have said so. Then again, who WANTS to remember a war they've been a part of?)

And of course Crichton is. Dude, he took mental Dargo to a LOOKOUT POINT. XD
(HE was in the driver's seat! XD )
