If you've ever chatted with me via AIM you'll know that I'm fairly fitness aware. Which is to say that I obsess; I work out at least twenty minutes everyday (and up to two hours, excluding all-day activities like surfing or hiking or playing volleyball) and run 3-6 miles three or four mornings a week in ( Read more... )

This is a result of fat deprivation. Fat deprivation is a serious serious problem for the health !" My body can't comprehend fat deprivation, but intellectually I feel for you. m ;)

Ahahaha I think this is more a case of having pigged out on food I wouldn't normally eat which in turn triggers cravings of things I wouldn't normally eat. It's a vicious cycle. *fistshake*

I get plenty of healthy fats via nuts, avocados, and oils (olive, walnut, etc)and trust me, I've got extra cushion on my body despite my best efforts.

It's just that chocolate is so damn tasty. =(

Hi. I'm new on your list (coming in through a shared SPN fandom). I was wondering if some nice dark chocolate would take care of the chocolate craving? High percentage cocoa chocolate tends to be relatively low sugar and while it does have cocoa fat, they're mono-saturated. Lots of nice antioxidants in it, and I've found small amounts of the high-end stuff can knock down cravings faster than several Hershey bars.

I second this! I used to buy Giradelli dark chocolate squares because ONE of those suckers completely satisfied my cravings instead of eating fistfuls of Hersey kisses.

Oh honey, you're totally allowed to eat six Carmello bars in a row. It sounds like you really take care of yourself and even if you "break the rules" nothing dire will happen. You're already making healthy decisions. Breaking the rules is totally allowed when you have an overall healthy lifestyle. Hell, you're an adult, you can break the rules even if you do nothing but eat snickerdoodles all day and sit on the couch.

You didn't fail, you just chose to indulge. Big difference.
