For those of you who haven't heard...

My 19-year-old sister was killed in a car accident May 16, 2007. She was driving my car to high school and it hydroplaned, causing her and her passenger to lose control, cross the median, and hit a semi truck's double-trailer. She died instantly. Her passenger, a friend and neighbor, survived with only a few minor injuries to his hand.

I had heard, but felt strange contacting you sort of out of the blue about it. I'm terribly sad for your and your family's loss however, and I hope you know that if there's ever anything I can help you with, I would without hesitation.

ditto to buschap.

Idk, I'm not really good with this sort of thing, but you're in my thoughts. And saying "if you need anything let me know" sounds so hollow, but I really truly do mean it.

I'm so very sorry to hear that. For what it's worth from someone you've never met, you and your family are in my thoughts.

I'm sorrier than I can say. I didn't know until I started catching up on past friends entries today. Are you still in the D.C. area? I'd like to know where to send a card, not that cards make anything like that easier.

Hi, I found your journal through a friend of a friend. Even though we don't know each other, I wanted to leave you a message to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. My 21-year-old brother died last year, and I can imagine we are experiencing/have experienced the same sort of devastation. On another note (coincidentally), I'm currently living in Bloomington and noticed in your userinfo that you live here, too, and have attended the IU School of Journalism. That's a course of study I may be exploring in the near future (right now I just work for the university). Well, I hope you and your family will take care. Hang in there.
