frankly if your boss wanted to know, he/she should've picked up a paper and find out, right? why expect you to know? my job involves a certain measure of politics now, and i just know what i need to know and eveything else enters one ear and leaves the other. we are inundated with crap, not everyone can know every little detail, you know? don't be so hard on yourself. ps; all you need to really know is on the daily show. just watch that and you'll be well (if not better) informed than most :)
