So apparently I'm the only one who liked the Supernatural season premiere, and who thought that while it wasn't the greatest episode ever, it worked as a really good set up for the conflicts to be overcome and the journey to be taken this season?

No you are not. I liked it too. The tension in the beginning was really high. I kept telling Dean to call Bobby! But there are some other things I noticed. There is definitely something wrong with Sam. He even recognizes it when he point out that things were better with Dean, that Dean cared. Sam is missing some part of himself. Maybe it has something to do with the opening. There was a mirror breaking and the word Supernatural was reversed. And remember when the devil was in Sam, we kept seeing Sam in the mirror? Also, in the scenes for next week, when it said next Friday, it briefly switched the i and the r and said Firday. I don't know if this all means something, but I think it might. Are we seeing a reflection of Sam, or the mirror opposite? But something IS wrong with Sam and something very wrong with the Campbells.

I'm totally feeling ya. Apparently I was the only one on my f-list who liked the NCIS premiere! But I am unmoved by their apathy! I am still happy!

I liked it. I thought it was a good setup, as you say. It's only the first episode, too.

i liked the ep, but there seems to be something off with there grandfather though. and sam has to have some issues after what he went through. but we wont see that in the first ep

I really liked and enjoyed it too. I've seen some grumblings on my friendslist but most made me roll my eyes because the things they want are just not possible right now. It's like you say, it's a really good set up for the next episodes.
