Cat-shopping and dating

It had been a while since Liz had persuaded Kate to transform in a cute kitten to see if Vanya liked cats. The doctor had later told her the sick girl had managed to fall asleep and even improve a little bit, though that didn't last long. And her health had gotten even worse lately. It was time for some action

Kate sat upon her bed, still clad in her uniform but only just now kicking her shoes off to grow a little more comfortable. But the question her cute friend asked caused her to grow uncomfortable just as quickly - but not because of Vanya, but rather she grew nervous about their 'date'. The naive girl had no idea what she was supposed to do or how it would be different from any of the other times they had went out as friends...and to silence the butterflies in her stomach for a few moments longer she instead answered the first question first

Liz' expression turned sad when Kate questioned her about Vanya's health. "The doctor said that she was doing a little better on the day you visited her," she said, "but she's getting worse again. The doctor's growing desperate. It's so sad to watch it all. You can just see her whithering slowly away and well... only because one comment had been made at the wrong time. I wish there was more we could do for her aside from getting her a cat."

Liz sighed and leaned against Kate for some warmth and love. "So I think we should do that first. Find a cat and give it to Vanya." Putting the dark Seer out of her mind for a moment, the girl smiled and nestled close to her friend. "And then a date."

"If anyone can cheer her up," Katelyn said with a smile, "it would be you. I think that's you're greatest magic - being able to make people smile, no matter what."

She leaned forward just enough that their foreheads touched, Katelyn smiling warmly at the girl nuzzled up close to her. In that moment, a small bit of magical energy gently flowed from the Slayer to the Seer, a spell Kate could cast so easily it could almost be done on reflex. "Yeah, let's go," she said as she wrapped her arms around Liz for a loving embrace, holding her close for a moment before she turned to her closet to start getting ready. In the brief silence that followed, Kate began to grow both nervous and excited as she looked for whatever outfit she thought would make her look her very best for tonight.

Liz smiled at the compliment and the cuddling, unaware of what had just happened. She watched Kate for a moment before she turned to her own closet and began to search for something nice to wear. There were lots of things she could wear, of course, but she wanted to look extra pretty for her friend. Liz finally settled for a pink dress with no sleeves, under which she wore a delicate white blouse with lace and a pattern of flowers in the same white colour.

Once she'd changed clothes she looked at Kate to see how she was doing as well to enjoy the sight of a muscled, strong body. Liz reached out for a moment to stroke fondly over those strong arms of her friend, smiling at her as she did this.
