Holy crap, wow. My early guess was more or less confirmed (I had it from Faith's "when I invited you into my apartment"), but this is... positively Machiavellian. I'm loving it, and villainous calculating Xander is fantastic. : )

Oh I am so scared now about Buffy and Giles being involved.

Dying to know why Xander went after Faith in the first place. Love how complicated things get. And can I say I love that you write Faith with the street cred that would have enabled her her to survive for this long.

I am dying to see how this ends.

I was beginning to suspect, but he's so unlike the usual sort of vamp that I wasn't sure. Poor Bunny. And I suspect poor Buffy if she isn't careful.

So my thoughts are confirmed re their natures. But now I wonder whether they are an AU version of themselves or whether this closely follows the original Alice story and this is a nightmare dreamscape that Xander and Faith are sharing. That they are being chased by the scoobies who want them to wake up? It's the odd feelings that Xander keeps on having that everything is not right that leads to this thought.

Hence the burgeoning numbers of cultists and the non appearance of the jewel.

The alternative is that this is all real and Giles is about to sic some plan on them although the easy death of two Slayers sort of runs counter to this thought.

Of course that could be bad and actually pull it off. Either way really enjoying this.

I started to suspect something was up when they offed the teens in the last chapter, but it wasn't until they started discussing whether Xander warned Faith about the Slayer blood thing when I went all "... Waitaminute ..." - very very well done. :D

Can't wait for the last part!
