Liz's Instant Glee-Cap - 5x18 - The Back-Up Plan

Apr 29, 2014 22:23

So, pretty much all I know about “The Back-Up Plan” going into it is the big guest star and maybe a song title or two. I love it when I have almost no idea what to expect! (No, seriously. That wasn’t sarcasm. The less I know, the happier I am.)

But thanks to flaming_muse for putting a finger on why the title of this episode has been bugging me: just typing it ( Read more... )

I'm so loving reading your reaction posts:) Just one tiny question, do you watch the promo's, or do you turn them off?

well said! I too was dying when Blaine lied to Kurt, though it's understandable that he did, given who he is and how he desperately wants to please his fiance. And again, he's so young... mistakes like that are understandable. Likely, even.
Anyone who argues that Darren hasn't got it (who are these people?)... observe! As Blaine he gets the audience eating out of his hand -- twice, and the second time with a really weird song choice that he still manages to make mesmerizing.
I wanted to yell at the screen as Rachel crashed and burned, too: bad choices, honey, but again, they're too young to be making these on their own. Where the hell are her dads, anyway? I missed them so much at her opening night, and here would be another opportunity for her to turn to them for advice. Too bad she didn't...
I am indeed loving the Klaine action here, and like you, live for their moments.

I don't know how much of my feelings right now are because of the episode, and how much because I'm always tired and worn out and stupid hormones being stupid. I'm just feeling kind of... down, I guess. Irritated with Rachel, worried about Klaine... which is not to say I didn't like the episode, I just have so little energy and that always makes my negative emotions so much stronger. *sigh* I should go to bed.

Yup. What she said. I can't even bear the thought of the landmines ahead. And the inevitably long summer. If you need me I'll be in my happy place (where I've sent June to the naughty corner).

I love Mercedes and Santana together. I loved their duet over Puck especially and this performance was times ten (go for the download!).

The Blaine and June duet made me laugh a bit, Blaine can officially do anything now as he made Janis sound like dinner theater.

Hey, did you notice a continuity glitch in the Kurt/Rachel panicked phone call?
