Today I met Mel up at the Florissant Fossil Beds. She showed me around and bit and I got to see a fossil digging pit, which was pretty cool. However, the weather was somewhat foreboding, so we called it a day. I'm totally going back up there though because it's flat! So amazing, I could actually walk around and not die. By "pretty cool", she means "incredibly boring", FYI.

The Florissant cemetery is awesome! Sometimes you can peek in the nest boxes and see baby bluebirds, too.

I'd be up for going up there and hiking with you, if you want--I still want to hike all the trails, eventually. And it's really pretty in fall when the aspens turn and there are elk around.
