I'm hoping (perhaps futilely) that we might get some kind of official statement from LJ regarding this issue, how we (users) can protect our journals while LJ protects its arse, etc. Because if it's true that LJ doesn't WANT to be suspending journals, you'd think the most responsible course of action now that this is occurring would be to let people know specifically what interests are unacceptable and cause for TOSing.

In abuse statements they have mentioned that they cannot let people activate their journals to delete objectionable interests because they would have prior knowledge if this person did something illegal. I would assume that if they made a statement telling people what interests to delete, they might have a similar problem. It kind of defeats the purpose of using the interests to track down the real offenders.

I'm not on LJ's side, but that's probably why we won't ever get a warning from them.
