The LJ Spotlight is currently on a community called 50bookchallenge, and the aim is to read 50 books in a year. I doubt this will be too hard for me, as I constantly have my head in a book - I've read five already, and we're 9 days into 2007 :P I'm going to be updating this post with what I read, and would love it if you could recommend books to me in the ( Read more... )

I'm not really quite sure how I ended up on your journal, a series of random clicks no doubt but I'm kinda glad I did. Not only for seeing your gorgeous FO banner (he is droolworthy there!) but I'd somehow not heard of 50bookchallenge Given the amount of books I read it sounds a fun challenge!

Random clicks are always good :D Good luck with the challenge - I'll probably aim to read 150 or so, because I'm on 10 already and have been spending most of my time this month revising rather than reading.

I'm not sure if I like her or not. I love the story, but the Americanisms just throw me off. I know that's silly, because it's an American book, but... I just didn't get some of the slang, and it kept distracting me.
