It is Official, I'm going to Dragon*Con 2008. I put out 100 bucks for Adam and I to go so that means we are going. Now I was Google Mapping the Overflow Hotels, I'm thinking we might end up staying at one of those just to save money. I would like to stay at a con Hotel but 165 a night is a bit much. Well I will talk that over with Adam and then get ( Read more... )

Yeah, D*C's hotels are just absolutely ridiculous. The only way to save money is to stock your room full of people and NOT stay Thursday night. @_@

And Tsubasa is just starting to get ridiculous at AWA. AWA 2007 should rename itself TSUBASA-CON '07.

Yea, Adam and I normally try to have the room all to ourselves. I was never good at sharing a room with a lot of people. I need my sleep. We would probably be leaving for D*Con after work on that Friday anyways so staying Thursday night won't be an issue.

At AWA, It was ridiculous, especially watching the costume contest. It seemed almost every other person was from Tsubasa Chronicles.

Yeah, which is why I'm glad I wore Yuuko on Fri and Sun. XD You'd think that after a Fai won Best in Show last year, people would give the series a rest, but no... they just kept coming. @_@

Yea, I wonder if it will be even worst next year or if something else will take it's place. This year I only saw one person doing the series I wanted to cosplay from so hopefully next year it will be the same.

I think it was the Days Inn I stayed at before I started staying at the Marriott every year. I think that is the one that used to have a Wendy's in it, which was nice and convenient. If you end up a little farther away I don't think the walking will be as bad for you since you'll always have Adam with you. (Walking around downtown Atlanta at night just isn't too fun.) But staying in a host hotel is still my highest recommendation if it works in your budget. And don't stay far enough away where you'll be counting on the shuttle. My dad complained about issues with the shuttle after the con this year.

Yea I would love to stay in the host hotel but we also have to budget. A short walk won't be too bad especially if I know some other people staying there as well. We are planning on saving up a lot because if everything goes well we will be able to get engaged officially and married, along with paying off the house in under 15 years. We are also hoping to save up a bit of money because I want rugrats sometime in the near future.

I'm gald that you are going!!! I'm staying at the Days Inn again and I want to try and march in the parade again as well. You should try it if you want to get up earlyin the morning. It's worth it trust me plus Starbucks are located aroung the con so coffee would be really helpful. Oh and Dragon con is dubbed "Drunken Con" cuz so many people are tow up. Boy I tell ya Starbucks was constanly hit up for people hangeovers. Anyway I'll post my Dragon Con pics up soon so you can see a little footage of the parade. Idid'nt get much pics cuz my camera batteris died.

I would like to watch it, probably not march in it though. I'm not much of a morning person ><; So what is the d*con rate for the days inn? The site doesn't seem like it's been updated since last year. I'm excited. I was telling some people from work that go every year that I got my tickets so next year I am 100% going.
