It's the first day of Succot. Yesterday several people from the community built a succah which is neither properly kosher nor structurally sound, but we had a lot of fun looking for branches and building our den in the sunshine. I found polyphony very pleasing in a 'mathematically obvious' way. And it feels like home. Even if my early Spode training in using early sacred music and the A level module in writing it hadn't been enough, singing in the OLEM Latin choir - a church whose organ was chosen by Stanford, who deliberately wrote in that style - would have done.
I'm glad you got to go to my home even though I wasn't there to show you.
That's lots of connections, thank you for telling me about those. And I'm fairly confident that one day we'll find a concert I can go to with you, rather than just telling you about it.
