Coming back to livejournal

I don't know why everyone left and went to facebook. Facebook is not very attractive to me. I like visual stuff where I can customize what I am looking at. Facebook reminds me of an office, plain and boring. I feel like no one even reads my posts on facebook. Maybe I should face it now, I get along with animals better than people and animals ( Read more... )

Your not missing anything. Everybody is so peppy over there it just makes me want to vomit. How's California? I envy you for being able to live there. I am so tired of Ohio, I need a change.

I re opened my account after being nudged by friends and reading that as an artist I should be there, so yea, there but I don't read the stuff, its way too many people saying not much. at least half I don't even know!! I have no inclination to talk about my personal life there!! Feel like a minnow in a huge oily ocean!!

It just not very artistic and too many people don't care about art over on facebook. It just reminds me of a suburban neighborhood, unfriendly and cold. I don't have lots of relatives so I basically feel the same as you, a minnow in a huge oily ocean. When I first got on there and put in my high school, all the people from there started to add me. Most of them I never talked to in real life and never cared to. They grew up to be very different than me and the people that I were close to didn't seem like they ever wanted to hang out so I dropped them all off my account. I really don't care if their sister's having a baby and that she is a gift from god. It just isn't my scene over there. I felt like I did in high school, like I didn't fit in anywhere so why stay and be miserable? I just wish I didn't have to hear about facebook every five seconds everywhere I look, it is not all that, not even close.

glad you decided to come back I find it so time consuming to go to so many different blogs and websites, much easier when people seem to be right at hand!

I like livejournal because people actually put substance in their posts and they mean something. I just figured everyone left because of facebook so I stopped posting. Every time I come back at least people acknowledge my presence and I am glad for that. I don't feel like an outsider as I do on Facebook.

suburban neighborhood thats a great way to put it. I used to loathe facebook... I use it now but it's rather souless, but I dont see leaving here unless everyone is gone. Lots are gone but there's still some good people here. I'm not doing much at to show these days though. :(

That is a good way of putting it, it is souless. One of the many things I hated about facebook, you could never edit your posts if you made a typo and I always make typos. I finally gave up and said oh well, people can think I can't write. I do wish I could have a purely business page for my beads but when I do that it always reactivates my personal page.

I still love the copper etched light plates and journals that you used to do. I bought a kit to do etching for bead caps but I still haven't got around to giving it a try.
