During times like this week, when the forecasters get it [mostly] wrong, people call them out as incompetent. It's mostly in good humor, but I still have to roll my eyes, since I have a meteorology degree and all ( Read more... )

since i've had the past 2 days off i've spent them pretty much inside at all times. partly out of laziness and partly out of this snow blizzard hype on the news.

i had no idea you had a meteorology degree.. will you be doing the forecast regularly now that your out with this alleged degree?

You have a meteorology degree? I thought you were in sales or something.

A buddy of mine was doing Meteorology down in College Station - until he realized he doesn't like math. quitter.

Anyways, from an engineering standpoint, I don't like snow.

So, you're predicting weather for a flavor syrup making company so they can account for environmental factors while they boil the sugars?

At least you'll never have to worry about asses throwing half eatin burritos, hamburgers, Big Gulps or Milkshakes at you while you walk down the street.
