This is very strange. I do not remember there being ocean cliffs in this part of Fire Country. Kenshin-san, I am sorry, but I have not come across any buildings. I attempted to climb down the cliffs, but for some reason I could not walk down to the water. I fell nearly thirty feet, and I believe I may have twisted my ankle. I did manage to climb ( Read more... )

Oh dear. I did not mean for you to become injured. You ... normally you think you can walk on water? Surely not very deep water? Please be careful, Mister Lee and do not try anything wreckless. It might be best if you simply re-routed your trip to look for someplace where you might have your injury cared for?

Walking on water is a very basic skill for a ninja. It is very odd that I am having trouble with it.

Ah, but I have good news, Kenshin-san! I kept walking and eventually came across a building full of boats! It took slightly longer than I would have expected, but I managed to scale it adequately enough. It is strange, but it reminds me a great deal of the boat storage building we had on the Island when I was there. Perhaps they were designed by the same architect.

You are a very interesting young man. I had thought true walking on water was a physical impossibility. If one ran quick enough, one might be able to use surface tension but even this would be at unparalleled speeds.

A boat house you say? Excellent. I think due to it being the only building you have come across that would indeed qualify to finalise your dare. Making it your turn to question someone.

Speaking of the boat house, you say it looks identical to the one on the island, do you? How very fascinating. I wonder what would happen if you chose to walk the path from the boathouse you might have taken when you were on the Island.

Now that I look, I do see a trail very similar to that on the Island. Perhaps investigation is the best course of action. After that I will most definitely need to head back to the river, though. I do not wish to keep my sensei waiting!

Mister... This is not your Fire Country.

Walking on water? What sort of ability is that one?

Oh, I beg your pardon, miss. I can see why you may be confused. You are on the Island, but I am back home in Fire Country.

Walking on water is a basic chakra technique.

I have heard of chakra, a term in Hinduism. Unless you are referring to something else, which are not the energy centers in the spinal chord.

...Miss!? I am not a woman! My name is Kurapika.

My sincerest apologies, Kurapika-san! I do not know how I could have made such a terrible mistake!

Chakra is the life energy that flows through our bodies. as a ninja, I am able to control its flow to some extent. Unfortunately, I cannot manifest it into ninjutsu and genjutsu, but walking on water should be easy enough.

Pleased to meet you, little girl. My name is Rock Lee, not Eyebrows. Are you a medical nin? I have never heard of someone so young with that title! You must be a genius to have gained it at your age!

Nanami-san, I dare you to do five hundred push ups! If you cannot finish them, I dare you to do seven hundred squats. If you cannot finish those, I dare you to run eight hundred laps around the village! The village is very small, so you should have no trouble completing that. Good luck, Nanami-san!
