Art: Black Dog

Did this over the weekend; it's a bit more angsty and there's more clothing than my usual stuff.  Sorry about that :\

The delectable atlinmerrick has written a chapter of her new series The First Time that goes with this, which you can find  here. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Wow. Just wow. Love John's sine wave curve and clutching hand. As always, the way you've shown the facial expressions is heartmeltingly beautiful. Fab!

Thank you!

It took me a few goes to get the faces right for this one. The two had to work together to tell the story.

Beautiful as always, can't wait to read the fic this inspired (or vice versa). One can feel the pain, as well as the comfort, despite now yet knowing the cause or the reason...so talented, you are. <3

Thank you :)

I wanted very much to focus more on John, because I think he would totally be Sherlock's saviour in moments like this, so there is pain there, but more importantly there's comfort. :)

John's rucked up shirt and the strip of skin! *wants to touch*
His hand! The faces! Sherlock's hair!

Sorry, that's all I got. Am busy flailing. ;)
Can't wait to read the story too!

Edit: Read Atlin's story and it's the perfect companion to your wonderful art. I still like John's hand and their faces the most. <3

Yeah, the shirt was probably my favourite bit and an accident, to be honest. I wanted to break the line of the back up a little to make it a bit more interesting and was wondering how to do it when I saw my husband having a nap with his shirt all rucked up. The rest is as you see it ;)

Thank you so much for the lovely comment and for reading the story too.

Oh, what fascinating expressions on their faces. Sherlock lost somewhere and John pulling him back.
