I have triumphed!

After months of working up the courage, I have made risotto! It's very nice if somewhat time consuming but best of all - it doesn’t make me feel ill! Yay! I spent quite a while making tasty low fat cheeseless rice+stock+meat+vegies things in our rice cooker until I remembered that the reason I stopped making rice dishes is that I eat way too much of them :)

Not being able to eat onions sucks. Can you still eat garlic?

I should have said I can't eat more than a small amount of raw onion - it has to be burned to death before I can eat it, which, considering oil also makes me ill doesn't work out so well...

A good nonstick pan can be useful for cooking things without oil, I say on the very off chance you don't already know this.

sure, but I've never really gotten that to work, even though I have scanpan. It's a personal failing that I can't resiste buttered onions...
