It's precisely because Anima can be more powerful than humans that they're kept enslaved. Humans fear the Anima that are more powerful than they, and fear the thought that the Anima might realize they have the ability to be the ones putting the humans in shackles... So they use that fear and turn it into aggression, beating and enslaving the Anima, telling them from the time of their births that they are worthless, weak, monsters...so they grow up believing exactly that, and are thus easier to make submissive.

It's a closed-minded point of view. Fortunately, not everyone holds it. Unfortunately, it's a large majority that does.

It's not as if I'm saying that Anima should be freed, or that the humans should be enslaved. It's simply a statement, a point-of-view that exists out there. And even if I don't go around telling all the details, I've never made a secret of the fact that I'm not a fan of slavery.
