Transfer season is driving me crazy. I'm tired of checking for news all of the time, but I still do it. I just want to know already who is coming here. So this gave me an idea.

I think we'll sign: Downing, Adam, Mata, Wickham, Zapata, and Clichy. (Okay, some of those are wishful thinking, except in the case of Adam, but still.)

Sounds like someone's not crazy about "the football". I'm sure for some people in England it sucks if that's all you ever seem to hear about and you're not into it.

I'm the same way with hockey, aka "Canada's national pastime". I don't hate it but I can't wait for the end of the season every year because my better half goes so bonkers over it.

I've been watching the England U21 games, but I don't think you can judge Henderson by what you've seen there. Practically everyone played like shit (the same thing that ALWAYS happen when the English NT get together in my opinion) and I don't think we can judge him because he wasn't playing in the position he'll be playing in for LFC, he wasn't playing with the people he'll play at LFC AND he wasn't playing under Kenny Dalglish. I'm not saying thinking the way you do is wrong, only that my opinion differs :)

And personally I believe the Meireles rumors are complete bullshit.

I'm not paying much attention to transfers. I love LFC but it's still just entertainment for me, especially now that I'm all embittered by the players as a whole after the previous transfer period - not that it's all their fault; that's just the way I roll.

If I'm honest, I have to say I'm not crazy about the "free for all" idea. I want to read about Liverpool Football Club here, not other stuff. I realize I will probably be in the minority, though, so if those start to pop up I will just have to ignore them to the best of my ability. I just don't want it to turn into a weekly discussion about other clubs and especially other leagues. I don't think I would be as bothered if it was random topics but I reserve the right to change my mind about that, too. :-p

tbh i haven't really kept up with the transfer rumours, but i'd say adam and mata. my main concern is meireles and the rumours around him, he's probably one of the last players i'd want to see leave right now :(

also, a free for all and match watch-a-longs sound awesome! and i can probably help in looking for download links and whatnot.

I think Adam and Wickham will probably happen. Hoping for Mata but that seems to be mostly what we want, and no indication that it will happen.

I haven't really been paying attention to the rumors, I don't think there's anything in the Meireles rumor because afaik it started with speculation from someone on twitter that just snowballed.

I'd be more worried if I was certain Juve could pay. IIRC the reason they didn't take the purchase option on Aquilani is that they can't afford it, and I think it's less than 13m.

Yeah, I read that they don't have enough money to buy Aquilani. I think the price for Aquilani is 15m but I would think it'll be hard for them to pay 13m as well, but I might be wrong and they can.
