Lucas was a key player this season but his lack of goals is obvious. So its Dirk for me.

Lucas has been playing as a DM though. Yes, it would be nice if he added goals to his game if he wanted to be more of a 'complete' midfielder but he has consistently done what his role in the team requires of him - and to a very high standard.

But then shouldn't you talk about how he should improve as a DM? His pass completion rate is always great and he has made the most tackles in the league this season; he's brilliant at breaking up play and helping out the defense. Yes, it would be nice if Lucas scored goals but it would also be nice if Dirk had a better first touch. This isn't me demeaning what Dirk has done this season - I just think it's important that Lucas is recognised for his contribution and how significant it has been. You can't rely on your defensive midfielder to score your goals. That's what strikers like Dirk are for! Of course, you have your opinion and that's fine ;)

Omg!! I am so happy for Lucas. He has really won me over this year. I was never one of his haters, more indifferent to him, to be true. But god, he has been amazing this year! Easily most improved and consistent player. Love him so much!! :DDD

Also, the bb!Reds pics make me want to go on holiday so bad!! I'm glad they got that time away together though, they've really earned it after a great season!

I'm solo happy for him =) he deserved it to be honest, he's been one of our most consistent player this season.
It's such a nice change from last year when everyone was abusing him so much. He has improved so much though, I'm so proud of him <3

Congrats to Lucas, he has been outstanding all season! If he starts scoring next season, we might finally have fully replaced Xabi.

I really, really, really want to go on holiday.... and these pics didn't exactly make that feeling go away. I hope there will be as many fit boys where I'm going, my word...
