"I have named the team for players but I prefer to let other people wait and see - it adds a little bit to the excitement.''

Why I'm I getting Poulsen vibes?

"Whether or not that means we'll win them all I can't say, but I don't have so many fears I am going to put a team on the field and they're going to be playing in a way I can't identify with or that I can't take responsibility for.

so what is he saying, that he can't take responsibility for most of the games so far? it's his stupid game plan and no subs policy and forcing players that evidently aren't doing well that led to this. I'm so happy we won on Sunday, but I didn't just see the score, I watched the game and there were moments where it could have gone either way. it's getting better but the chelsea game is going to be so difficult

According to "djphal" on RAWK (he's got some sort of source in Melwood, he posts the team every week and always gets it right) the team is
Reina
Johnson Carra Soto Konchesky
Spearing Poulsen
Meireles Shelvey Jovanovic
Ngog

So you're right about Poulsen. I'm excited to see Shelvey though.

so, what? if they play badly you disavow all responsibility??

If they play badly it's Danny's fault for being injured and Nando's for being crap. Oh and Shelvey's for only being 18 and not able to carry the team all by himself. And Rafa's for not leaving him more players like Poulsen. I think that about covers Roy's scapegoats.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit disappointed with his response to Rafa, even if I suppose it's the "mature one"... :/

Last night when I was getting ready to bed my brain started going "Brother Danny, Brother Danny, where are you, where are you" to the tune of Frère Jacques. Yeah, I don't know either.

I hate this uncertainty over Danny's calf injury. It better not be that bad. How bad, exactly, can one hurt their leg without actually breaking it? DDD: And he's not training at all?? I thought he was training alongside a physio :/

I hope he is fielding a decent team tomorrow night. There needs to be more consistensy. Rafa used to play a lot of the players 3 times a week and generally it meant they gelled better. Okay, injuries are possibly more likely, but urgh. Swings and roundabouts.
