why oh why can't someone else just come and buy us?

rafa should focus on getting a spot in the CL not to get money but to make the club more attractive for those interested

If Gillett and Hicks have stopped caring about the club (and from what they say, they have), they should bloody well sell it before they ruin it completely. >.<

And of course you're right, Rafa should indeed focus on getting a CL spot. No matter whether it makes a difference to the owners or not, the 4th spot is a must, and everyone has to do their best to make it possible. However, I can understand why Rafa felt the need to clarify that getting new players in is not in his power. Everyone seems to be asking for new players these days, and I particularly remember that interview with Torres in which he said he's only staying if the squad is reinforced. (Though I still think he didn't say it quite like that.)

nah i'm fine with what he said actually but I'm just saying that he should nowconsider getting the interest of other owners by qualifying. Forget the money that they won't give me.

I think I'm the only one who fears all of the ill will, deserved, that we've thrown at Hicks & Gillet. They want money, of course, but now they will enjoy spiting the fans. They could say, 'well, we got a profit and left the club worse than when we got it. F*#k the fans!'

Either way, they've got to go. How do we start over?

I do hope they have enough dignity and self-respect left to take the criticism like men instead of spiting the fans. It's not as if there aren't any good reasons why they should go.

I wish it were that easy to say how we should start over. That we should start over is clear, but who knows in whose hands Liverpool FC will end up? How the funds will be? Where they want to see the club? New owners don't always mean better times, I'm afraid, so at this point I'm just hoping for the best, that in the end some capable, reasonable people will be in charge of the club.
