ZICAM Alert: the cold med, the FDA, and homeopathic meds

Over the last few years I have suggested this product to quite a few people, because it works. Now I find out that the FDA has pulled it from the market because it can kill your sense of smell. Zicam is intranasal zinc administered with a swab or squirt. You absorb the zinc through your mucosal membrane, and it helps you fight viruses. ( Read more... )

Thanks for posting this, man. My bro is starting to send me links about how homeopathy is whacked and, although I have no solid testament to its legitimacy, no one likes being challenged without having knowledge about their own world. I copied and pasted a lot of Dr Shor's words for him to read.

Is it just me or does homeopathy suddenly seem to be coming up in the news a lot?

Thanks. I don't know if it's coming up more in the news, but it is certainly coming up more in my world. I am studying homeopathy in great detail and still remain unconvinced. I don't know who you are, but if you want to, please send me homeopathy news links, as I am very interested in what's going on.

The pharmeceutical companies don't want people using homeopathy. They want you to buy their drugs, whether you realy need them or not.

Here's a retrospective study supporting my theory that the zinc doesn't damage your sense of smell unless you snort the gel back into the olfactory receptor laden part of your nasal mucosa. I plan to keep using the stuff, if needed, to head off a cold ( ... )
