As a parent, I can say with some certainty that she won't ever be the same, at least as long as she can actually feel love and affection for her children. Children are the most awesome, transformative experience I've ever had. I wouldn't go back to being the person I was for any reason. I'm much better (from my perspective) now.
I agree, that having children is a big lifechanger......and that "normal selves" are a work on progress, moving forward and perhaps circling, but never ever going back to the way we were before...
I tag her a "hero", so I do more than like her. I admire her. She rocks! The Ani FUCKING DiFranco thing is a joke, not created by her, but rather by fans who appreciate her rebellious spunk.

It really is amazing how having a kid changes peoples' perspectives. She'll be back to her "normal" self when the kid turns teen.
