Fish Imports From China Increase, and are YUCKY

I'm convinced that the business people of China would just as soon poison Americans as feed us. I read the other day that now 75% of the garlic on grocery store shelves is coming from China! Yikes. I EAT garlic ( Read more... )

Ugh. That is so gross. I try not to eat any farmed fish or seafood. Alaskan salmon, wild mahi mahi and Alaskan crab are about all I eat now.

So why is the US importing fish? Why aren't we getting our own, or, importing from others? After the whole contaminated pet food mess a few months back, I'm not too surprised at this next batch of bad stuff from China.
It makes me wonder if the Chinese are eating the same fish they send over here? If so, I feel sorry for them, if not, well, it makes since to keep the good stuff for your own, and ship off the crap to others to make a buck.
