I just got an email on my personal email account that is masquerading as a message through livejournal. It is someone with an Alzheimer's info site wanting me to direct people to their site using liveonearth. I am afraid to even click on the links from my own computer, since the message is inherently dishonest. It was not sent via livejournal, ( Read more... )

Hmmm. I just did a little search and it appears that this person is for real. Diane Wright lives in Knoxville, TN, where I know people. But why did her message come to me as a supposed LJ message when it wasn't on LJ at all? I am still confused. Maybe I "know" her. Hmmmm.

I heard from the sender of the alzheimer's marketing message a second time by email. That message also did not appear to come through LJ. I am wondering if it is an LJ issue.
