How can some women think it's okay to abandon their children?????

My now ex sister-in-law has just disappeared with her new boyfriend, and apparently said in front of her three sons that she didn't want them! I'm learning all of this through the rumor mill, since I'm still in that weird limbo of not-a-kid-but-not-really-a-grown-up-in-this-family-

And people wonder what we see in books and movies and music and writing so much that we just want to burrow away with it! It is so much nicer than real life stupidity.

I can understand your feelings, I would choose books over my family when the Shit hits the fan. I've learned that common sense is not so common lately & unfortunately we, the only people who have to deal with the half life of freedom & reality, must deal and show either the I care or don't attitude.
