The short version is there was a character who was described as "one of the best QBs in the NFL," he wore number 12, his jersey was red, blue and white, the actor looked just like him, and the show's based in New York. The thing is, this character was outed when his boyfriend was found murdered wearing leather chaps and a ballgag.
