I really like your introspective Kensei! Sometimes, we wish so much we could go back to how things were, only to find we're no longer the people we were then... Kensei missing pockets and hating is waraji is just a case in point.
This story has a beautiful flow and the hopefulness of the ending makes me wish for a continuation.
